what is means to be sustainable and how does designers really make an impact in the industry? In today’s fast moving society where cheapness and fast is highly profitable, the lack of transparency on supply chain and environmental impact push many major brands to operate on more social conscious terms. While on the other hand, the market sees a huge surge in eco-friendly brands that uses green washing to pose themselves as sustainable.

The truth is, we are not building another sustainable brand, we want to be solution to a real problem. There is no fool proof way to create a perfectly sustainable company or system because there are so many flaws and hidden issues that prohibits the entire industry to be completely sustainable. The only thing we as designers can do at this point of time, is continue find real solutions to small problem and resolve them one step a time.

We are all consumers and we are all humans. It is time to invest in quality goods that lasts and let go of the cheap gratification that pollutes the next generation.
